The Conference will be hosted by the Canterbury Cathedral Lodge (on July 31 - August 02) and Darwin College of the University of Kent (on August 03), Canterbury, United Kingdom.

Canterbury is one of the UK’s oldest cities (predating Roman arrival) befitting its role as capital of Kent, the Gateway to UK from Europe, hence easy travel links from ICPEAC. Canterbury and its cathedral is also the ecclesiastical centre of the Church of England.

The School of Physical Sciences (SPS) and the University of Kent is delighted to welcome ISACC 2019 to its campus and the city of Canterbury. The University has recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, being one of the UK Universities established in the 1960s which today are amongst the most research active centres in the UK. SPS research covers theoretical condensed matter physics, applied optics, materials sciences, astronomy and planetary science and is one of the UK’s leading centres of forensic science. Furthermore in 2018 the University was approved to form a medical school, with SPS and other schools in the Faculty of Science establishing supporting research programmes in bioscience and technology. It is therefore entirely fitting for SPS to host ISACC whose fundamental research underpins so many of the applied areas of SPS research.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kent and showing you our research facilities and sharing with you something of the rich heritage of Canterbury.
